How to setup call forwarding
Call forwarding is a telephony feature available to most of the modern phones and networks. Also known as call diversion, it allows you to forward a telephone call to a selected number.
By choosing to divert your calls to your Pocket Receptionist number, you make sure that it is one of your dedicated receptionists who first picks up the phone on your behalf.
Enable the call forwarding service on your phone
Using the call forwarding service is easy. When you create your account with us, we will provide you with a unique virtual phone number. Then you just need to change the settings to your landline or mobile phone to start diverting your incoming calls.
For step-by-step instructions of how to enable call forwarding, select your mobile phone model or your landline provider from the dropdown below, and we will guide you through the process.
Step 1: Go to your home screen and tap on the settings icon
Please note: iPhone allows you to only forward all calls. If you would like to forward unanswered calls or when your phone is busy, use the dropdown above to select your network provider (O2, EE, Three etc.) and follow the instructions.
Step 2: Tap on 'Phone'
Step 3: Tap on 'Call forwarding'
Step 4: Tap on the switch to turn on call forwarding
Step 5: Type in your Pocket Receptionist phone number
Step 6: After you've entered your Pocket Receptionist phone number, tap the 'Call forwarding' back link to exit and save
All set! From now on, if someone calls your personal number, it will be forwarded to your Pocket Receptionist number and answered by one of our receptionists.

Step 6: Tap on 'Add number'
Step 7: Enter your Pocket Receptionist phone number into the box
Step 8: After you've entered your Pocket Receptionist phone number, tap the 'Save' button to save changes
All set! From now on, if someone calls your personal number, it will be forwarded to your Pocket Receptionist number and answered by one of our receptionists.
Call forwarding on SwitchboardFREE
Forward calls made to your SwitchboardFREE number to your Pocket Receptionist number, so our agents can answer calls on your behalf.
Step 1: Select the number
After you log in, the first page you will see will be the 'My Numbers' page. Here, click on the number you want to connect with Pocket Receptionist.
Step 2: Add your Pocket Receptionist number in the 'Redirect numbers' settings
In the Redirect Numbers section decide which redirect your Pocket Receptionist number will be. If you type in your Pocket Receptionist number into the first box, our receptionists will be the first ones to answer calls made to your SwitchboardFREE number.
Step 3: Save your changes
After you entered your Pocket Receptionist number to one of the redirect boxes, press the 'Save changes' button.
Call forwarding on Microsoft Teams
Forward calls made to your SwitchboardFREE number to your Pocket Receptionist number, so our agents can answer calls on your behalf.
Step 1: Go to Microsoft teams admin center

In the main menu, on the left click on "Users", then "Manage Users"
Step 4:
Click on the name of the person that owns the phone number you wish to forward.
Step 3:
Click on the “Voice” tab and from here you can choose to redirect all calls or unanswered call and enter the number you wish them to be forwarded to:
